Gregory House, portrayed by Hugh Laurie, is a character from the American television medical drama House M.D. The character is an antisocial medical genius. He is the Department Head of Diagnostics Medicine in the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital and a double specialty in infectious diseases and nephrology. Together with his team of physicians, they try to cure complex and rare diseases from very ill ordinary people. The television show aired November 16, 2004 to May 21, 2012 for eight seasons.
