Rocket is a genetically engineered raccoon-like mercenary and a master of weapons and battle tactics. The character is voiced by Bradley Cooper in both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2. He is a loyal tandem to Groot and is the only one who can understand the tree-like being. Rocket was recovered by alien scientists and had undergone experimentations which developed his skills and gave him sentient intelligence but also a chaotic personality as a result of repetitive abuse. He met Peter Quill and Gamora at The Hub during their mission to retrieve the  orb which also led to their arrest. Their time in prison developed an alliance with other intergalactic criminals and they were known to be the Guardians of the Galaxy.
