Nargis Fakhri was born October 20, 1979 in Queens, New York City. She was born to a Pakistani father and a Czech mother hence describing herself as a global citizen. Her show business career started with modeling, working for freelance agencies in America. She appeared as a contestant in The CW reality series America’s Next Top Model in 2004.
In 2009 Nargis Fakhri appeared in an Indian print ad campaign for the Kingfisher Calendar which opened the doors to her Bollywood career. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali selected Fakhri to play the female lead in the Hindi musical romantic drama Rockstar. From then on Nargis Fakhri’s career took off and she won several awards including Life OK NOW’s Best Supporting Actor – Female Award, Bollywood Life’s Most Motivational Celeb on Social Media award and Filmfare Glamour and Style’s Ciroc Not The Usual award.
In 2015, the actress took a leap to Hollywood. She starred in the comedy-action film Spy along side Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law.
