Preikestolen, also known as the Pulpit Rock, is a famous tourist site in Rogaland county, Norway. It was named one of the world’s most spectacular viewing points by both CNN Go and Lonely Planet. It is a steep cliff which rises 604 meters above the Lysefjord with a mountain plateau of 25 by 25 meters. The site is accessible via 6km hike with 350 meter ascent and best visited during April to October when there is no snow or ice
