One of its most famous feature is the “Ask Me Anything” or the AMA. It is where a well-known person or someone who has a unique or distressing life experience is put online for a certain amount of time to answer the Redditor’s queries.

Reddit is a website based in San Francisco, California. It was founded by Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005. It was acquired by Conde Nast Publications parent company, Advance Publications in 2011. As of August 2012, Reddit is an independent entity, although Advance Publications is still the major shareholder. As of 2017, Reddit is valued at $1.8 billion, with 542 million monthly page visitors.
