The BMW M Hybrid V8 Art Car, designed by artist Julie Mehretu, is set to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024. This unique collaboration features a 640 hp hybrid race car adorned with Mehretu’s abstract artwork, which uses digitally altered photographs and layers of neon-colored grids and black bursts to create a dynamic visual effect. The car is both a high-performance racing machine, capable of reaching speeds up to 345 km/h, and a moving piece of art that will evolve with the marks and scuffs it acquires during the race.
