Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is the main character in Vince Gilligan’s crime drama series Breaking Bad. Walt is a 50 year old high school chemistry teacher and a father of two. He lives with his wife, Skyler, and his children, Walter Jr. and Holly. He was diagnosed with stage III lung cancer, the turning point of his life. Knowing he had nothing to lose, Walt decided to venture in manufacturing and selling methamphetamine to be able to secure the future of his family before he dies. He asked the help of his former student, Jesse Pinkman and both of them became the major player of the drug trade, producing the famous blue meth with 99% purity.
By the end of the series, after his struggle in becoming Heisenberg and taking over the cartels, Walter White looks back to the very reason why he decided to enter the drug trade in the first place and saw that he has been way out of track and has been living a darker side of himself. Upon his realization he makes things right, finally keeps his promise to Skyler and sets Jesse free.
