Destiny: Rise of Iron is the fourth expansion for the online multiplayer first-person shooter “Destiny.” Released in September 2016, the expansion introduces a new storyline centered around Lord Saladin and the Iron Lords, with the primary objective of stopping the spread of the SIVA nanotechnology. Players explore the new location called The Plaguelands on Earth, face the Devil Splicer faction, and navigate a new raid called Wrath of the Machine. The expansion also adds a social space, Felwinter Peak, a strike called The Wretched Eye, and updates to PvP modes such as Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris. New weapons, gear, artifacts, and a Record Book tracking player achievements enhance the overall gameplay experience. “Rise of Iron” served as the final expansion for the original “Destiny” game before the release of “Destiny 2” in 2017.
