Joseph Seed is a preacher who believes that he has been chosen to protect the people of Hope County, Montana, USA and lead them to salvation. He established a group called Eden’s Gate which he uses to fulfill his mission. He has assumed the title of “The Father” and the cult has threatened and violently forced the residents to convert and recognize him. An attempt to arrest him ended with the deaths of several officers.

The player’s mission is to take down Seed and his cult which ever way possible. The video game is set in an open world environment and player can interact with wildlife, even the local townsmen, to help carry out the game objectives
