Jason Bourne is a film written by Paul Greengrass and Christopher Rouse with Greengrass also as the director. This action thriller movie is the direct sequel to The Bourne Ultimatum that premiered in 2007 and is the fifth installment of the Jason Bourne movie series. The actor Matt Damon still plays the protagonist Jason Bourne who has a psychogenic amnesia and is a former assassin.

In the movie, Bourne is still being pursued by the CIA hit squad, while he tries to unlock concealed facts about his father. The CIA Director Robert Dewey, played by Tommy Lee Jones, commands the CIA cyber head Heather Lee, played by Alicia Vikander, to find him. This film was also graced by Scott Shepherd, Ato Essandoh, Riz Ahmed, Vincent Cassel and Julia Stiles. Last July 11, 2016, this movie initially premiered in London before Universal Pictures theatrically released it on July 29, 2016 in the United States. The film garnered mixed reviews, but was a box office hit with over USD 415 million earnings globally.
