Mass Effect Legendary Edition was released on May 14, 2021, bringing remastered versions of the original trilogy (Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3) with enhanced graphics, improved textures, and 4K Ultra HD optimization. The compilation includes over 40 DLC packs and features gameplay improvements such as better cover mechanics, balanced XP and ammo drops, and updated vehicle handling for the M-35 Mako. BioWare aimed to unify and modernize the trilogy while preserving its unique elements.
