The McLaren 600LT, a road-legal track-day supercar, is a testament to McLaren’s commitment to pushing the envelope. The ‘Longtail’ ethos, which is at the heart of the 600LT, allows for the creation of the most thrilling and exhilarating model in the Sports Series. The 600LT is a true ‘Longtail’, with its carbon fibre bodywork, fixed rear wing, and large rear diffuser extending the silhouette by 74mm. This design not only gives the car a distinctive aesthetic but also delivers substantially increased downforce, enhancing the dynamic experience, especially on track.

The 600LT is powered by a 600PS and 620Nm engine, which benefits from reduced back pressure in an exhaust system that is even shorter and more extreme than that of the McLaren Senna. The car’s high points include a truly organic steering feel and a playful, frisky disposition. The cabin looks appropriately high end, but it’s missing driver-assistance features that are commonly offered by vehicles that cost a lot less than this quarter-million-dollar driving machine. Still, if your focus is on pure performance, you’ll likely be very happy with the swift, eye-catching 600LT.

Extreme weight-saving measures are at the heart of every McLaren LT. For this fast & light supercar, a reduction of 96kg against the DIN weight of a 570S was targeted – and achieved. There is new carbon fibre bodywork in addition to the unique-in-class carbon fibre chassis. The lightweight braking system and suspension are taken from the 720S. The track-focused supercar interior features the carbon fibre Racing Seats first seen on the McLaren P1™. And the 600LT can be made lighter still with the Super-Lightweight Carbon Fibre Racing Seats developed for the McLaren Senna. McLaren Special Operations (MSO) further offers a carbon fibre roof and front fender louvres.
