Nioh is an action, role-playing video game developed and published by Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo for PlayStation 4 on February 2017. Nioh, when translated in english, means “benevolent king.” It is set in the bloody Sengoku era Japan and combines real historic life events with dark fantasy and folklore. The player guides William to conquer missions and wield powerful weapons and gears against human and supernatural enemies to end the bloodshed in the country once and for all. Fighting is based on hack and slash combat with the character being able to attack the enemies and block their attacks in turn.
