Tipsoo Lake is an alpine lake within the Northern Cascade Range with an elevation of 1615 meters above sea level. There are several hiking trails around the lake that vary in difficulty level. Aside from the beautiful nature and its vibrant colors, Tipsoo lake is popular for having a picturesque view of Mount Rainier on the eastern background.

Mount Rainier National Park was established March 2, 1899 as the fifth national park in the United States. The park covers 236,381 acres of land including Mount Rainier, an active volcano ascending 4392 meters above sea level. Mount Rainier is the highest mountain of the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest and Washington.
