Desert

Deserts are biomes characterized by arid conditions, with low annual precipitation, high daytime temperatures, and temperature extremes. Vegetation in deserts is adapted to survive with minimal water, and features such as sand dunes, rock formations, and salt flats are common. Desert animals have evolved various adaptations to cope with harsh conditions. Some deserts, like the Sahara and Arabian deserts, are hot, while others, like the Gobi Desert, experience cold temperatures. Human settlements, historically and currently, exist in desert regions, with populations adapting to the challenges posed by the arid environment. Deserts, despite their harshness, play important roles in global climate patterns and support unique ecosystems with specialized flora and fauna.
