Tron

Tron is a science fiction film directed by Steven Lisberger, released in 1982. The movie follows Kevin Flynn, a computer programmer who is digitized into a computer and forced to fight against the oppressive Master Control Program (MCP) alongside other programs in the digital world. Inside the computer, Flynn discovers a civilization of sentient programs, including Tron, a security program, and Yori, a program resembling his love interest. Together, they embark on a quest to defeat the MCP and restore freedom to the digital realm. Tron is celebrated for its groundbreaking visual effects, which were revolutionary for the time, as well as its imaginative depiction of a computerized world. Despite its initial commercial disappointment, Tron has since gained a cult following and inspired sequels, video games, and other media adaptations, cementing its status as a classic of science fiction cinema.
