Rachel McAdams plays Christine Palmer in the 2016 superhero film Doctor Strange that was based on the character of the same name in the Marvel Comics. In the movie, Palmer is a surgeon and a former colleague of the infamous Doctor Stephen Strange. Even though she is one of his ex-girlfriends, she still remained friends with him and she assists him in anchoring his humanity.

Palmer has helped Strange recover from an accident that left him without hands until he decided to venture to Kamar-Taj. She operated on him after his fight with Kaecilius before they reunited again after a while. Later on, she also performed surgery on the Ancient One, but she was unable to save her this time around
