Glacier National Park is located in Montana in the United States on the Canada- U.S border. The park was established in 1910 and covers more than 4,000 square kilometers and includes the Rocky Mountains. The area was first inhabited by Native Americans before the European explorers arrived in the 18th century. The Rocky Mountains, most commonly known as the Rockies, is a range which stretches more than 4,800 km, from British Columbia in western Canada to New Mexico in the southwestern United States. It is well visited the whole year. In the summer for nature hikes and camping and in the winter for world-class downhill skiing.
