Tenaya Lake is a high altitude lake located between Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows within Yosemite National Park. It was formed by glacial action which left a backdrop of light granite rocks. Yosemite National Park covers an area of 747, 956 acres and was designated a World Heritage site in 1984. It is recognized worldwide for its clear streams, waterfalls, granite cliffs, glaciers, groves and biological diversities.
